Whether paintballing is a new passion or you’re a paintball veteran, there’s nothing more frustrating than missing your mark. If you’re tired of not hitting your target, it’s time to improve your accuracy. While you might be tempted to throw out your gun and start over with a new model, there are actually a few things you can do with your current machine.
If you are using a Co2 bottle to power your paintball gun, it could be impacting your accuracy. A high pressure air tank, also known as HPA, will increase your overall accuracy and be more efficient. HPA tanks use a regulator. This means you use the same amount of pressure each time you pull the trigger. Using HPA instead of Co2 also keeps your gun cleaner because of the type of gas it is. With a cleaner gun, longer lasting pressure, and increased accuracy, this is one upgrade you don’t want to skip.
Paintball is a sport that’s sweeping the nation. If you’ve taken an interest in this fast-paced game, it’s time to invest in your own equipment. Perhaps more important than the gun itself is the protective gear you need before you can safely hit the course.
Did you know that a paintball travels between 260 and 280 feet per second? Speed-wise, that means that you have paintballs coming at you at more than 200 miles per hour. If one of these tiny spheres hits you in the head, it can cause some serious damage. Protect your head by wearing a paintball-specific helmet or headgear each time you pick up your gun.
The LV1.1 Pro has proven time-and-again to be the ultimate embodiment of the Eclipse Ego and poppet-valve markers in general. Its lightweight yet robust construction, its incredibly refined shot characteristics and quiet signature and its bullet-proof reliability are un-paralleled in this segment.
But there is always room for improvement. Even the most subtle of changes can make something great, even better. And the ‘R’ package achieves just that. With a stripped-back approach to body styling and the addition of the incredible Shaft FL carbon fibre barrel system, the LVR is the most refined LV to date. Lighter, rarer and more focused, the LVR joins the CSR in an elite group. A group of markers coveted by many, but owned by only a few. A marker that stirs the soul. That becomes a part of you. "EVERYTHING ABOUT THE APPEARANCE OF THE CSR LETS THE USER KNOW THAT THEY ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL."
That feeling of being one of a select few. Part of an exclusive group. Special.
There are few ways of achieving this feeling in today’s modern world of globalisation and mass-market production. Yet there are still small enclaves where it’s possible to find exclusivity.
At Eclipse we have always tried to produce something special. Every one of our markers is special to us. But some are just that little bit more special than others. We constantly go out of our way to push the boundaries of what we do and how we do it. We try to envisage what the ultimate would be. How far we can take it. For something to be the pinnacle of performance and design.
Eclipse markers such as the GSL, the SL8r and the ultra-rare SL91 have given players a taste of what it’s like to belong to an exclusive group. A group of people that covet the very rarest and best we have to offer.
In the mold of the SL lines that came before it, the CSR is a heavily modified variant of the current headline Eclipse marker, the CS1. It features bespoke machined components and custom accessories that can only be found on the CSR, such as the frame, body, POPS assembly and eye covers and introduces a completely new barrel system in the Shaft FL.
"THE INSANELY LIGHT SHAFT FL CARBON FIBER BARREL SYSTEM COMES WITH THREE BORE INSERTS AND RUBBER GRIPS."
Designed and manufactured in collaboration with the world’s leading carbon fibre barrel specialist, DeadlyWind, the Shaft FL combines decades of barrel manufacturing know-how to produce an incredibly light, efficient and consistent barrel system.
In fact, the ethos behind the CSR has been led with weight reduction in mind and it comes in at a noticeable 100g or 3.5oz lighter than the CS1. A difference that can really be felt in the hand. As if that weren't enough, the box itself is hand-made from authentic Carbon Fibre. A true light-weight package.
But above anything else, the CSR brings that exclusivity that so many crave. Produced in limited numbers and over a limited period of time it’s an object of desire and engineering beauty that only a lucky few will ever get to experience.
Every visual aspect of the CS1 was considered when approaching the visual sculpting of the CSR. From the feedneck down to the POPS, the CSR exudes a level of refinement and weight-saving purpose that takes it into modern day SL territory.
"AT OVER 100G LIGHTER THAN THE CS1, THE EMPHASIS ON WEIGHT-SAVING WAS APPLIED TO EVERY ASPECT OF THE CSR’S STYLING."
The IVCore was the first commercially available system to bring true decoupled breech-sensing valve technology to a system tuned for reliability and efficiency whilst being completely dwell insensitive. The large volume for the firing chamber, modified bolt port geometry and large adjustment range for the SFR give the CS platform its exceptionally smooth and consistent shot characteristics. The IVCore’s now trademark quiet sound signature and awe-inspiring soft shot gives the user a marker that produces very little kick and can be relied upon to deliver, no matter what the weather, terrain or game format.
"THE IVCORE IS A BENCHMARK FOR SPOOL VALVE TECHNOLOGY AND IS WHAT GIVES THE CSR ITS INCREDIBLE ABILITY TO HANDLE BRITTLE PAINT SO CONSISTENTLY, FLAWLESSY AND RELIABLY."
The IVCore’s now trademark quiet sound signature and awe-inspiring soft shot gives the user a platform that produces very little kick and is a marker that you can rely on to deliver, no matter what the weather, terrain or game format my throw at you.
"THE NEW BLADE TRIGGER DESIGN IS INTERCHANGEABLE WITH 3RD PARTY CUSTOM TRIGGER SHOE DESIGNS."
Deciding what air tank to buy can seem overwhelming purely because of the fact that there are so many options.
Then there are carbon fiber tanks, which come in a huge variety of sizes and designs. Carbon fiber tanks will allow for more psi, generally 4500. By comparison, a tank with 3000 psi will get you on average 10 shots per cubic inch, while a tank with 4500 psi will get you 15 shots per cubic inch.
Depending on what the manufacturer chooses to name them, there are also selections of tanks known as ultralights/superlights. And that's just what they are. They are the same size and have the same volume as their standard counterparts, but they're just lighter. For example, a standard 68 carbon fiber tank form Ninja weighs in at 2 lbs 3.4 oz, which a superlight 68 carbon fiber tank from Ninja weights 1 lb 11 oz.
The tanks we see used most commonly are the 68 SL and the 77 SL because they offer a bit of everything- comfortable sizing, comfortable weight, and substantial volume. But at the end of the day, choosing what tank really comes down to what level of functionality you need to play and how you like your tank to feel.
