About paintball guns and shooting accuracy

Whether paintballing is a new passion or you’re a paintball veteran, there’s nothing more frustrating than missing your mark. If you’re tired of not hitting your target, it’s time to improve your accuracy. While you might be tempted to throw out your gun and start over with a new model, there are actually a few things you can do with your current machine.

Tanks

If you are using a Co2 bottle to power your paintball gun, it could be impacting your accuracy. A high pressure air tank, also known as HPA, will increase your overall accuracy and be more efficient. HPA tanks use a regulator. This means you use the same amount of pressure each time you pull the trigger. Using HPA instead of Co2 also keeps your gun cleaner because of the type of gas it is. With a cleaner gun, longer lasting pressure, and increased accuracy, this is one upgrade you don’t want to skip.

Barrels

Upgrading your barrel is the best and most common upgrade for any marker. Because there are so many different types and sizes out there, it’s important to choose the best barrel for your needs. If you’re looking to improve your accuracy, a longer barrel may not be the best choice. Longer barrels tend to make it easier to aim and hit your target, but your ammo won’t fly as true. Plus, the longer the barrel, the more of a chance you have of breaking the ball inside. To improve your accuracy and avoid ball breakage, choose a barrel that is anywhere from 12 to 16 inches in length.

Triggers

When you are able to fire your paintball marker more quickly, it increases your accuracy. To do this, you need to upgrade your firing mechanism. There are three different trigger upgrades you can make, depending on what you want. If you are looking to increase your firing rating, a double trigger is the way to go. It’s quick and easy to swap out and perfect for beginners. A response trigger is a little bit more difficult to install, but it allows you to adjust your firing rates as you improve your accuracy. Finally, if you’re looking for a high-range trigger upgrade, look no further than the electronic trigger. It’s easy to assemble and allows you to switch between firing modes depending on your target.

While improving your accuracy does take practice, by upgrading these 3 parts on your marker, you have a better chance of hitting your target every time you pull the trigger.
